This 1970 Omega Chronostop is a unique and wonderful simplified chronograph. The Chronostop is unique in that it allows the wearer to track seconds like a traditional chronograph but uses only a single pusher to do so. When the wearer engages the pusher the center seconds hand starts tracking seconds, engages the pusher again, and the center seconds hand resets back to 0--a simple and unique way to anything up to 60 seconds. Besides the center second chronograph hand, the hour, minute, and date operate like a traditional watch and keep track of the current time independently.

This watch features a wonderful textured matte black dial with a racing second outer track, a wonderful orange wedge second hand, and a date at 3 o'clock. The watch features a new acrylic crystal, delicately cleaned dial and hands, original case, new bracelet, and an original Omega 920 lateral clutch cam-driven movement. The movement is manual wind and has a good power reserve. The Omega 920 movement used in this watch is the same as the Omega Speedmaster 861 Moonwatch movement with the hour and minute registers deleted. The watch is 36mm in diameter and 38mm lug to lug. Original Omega mesh bracelet and signed buckle. Overall good condition with a polished finish.
